MORE ABOUT THIS FELLOWSHIP--  THE GATHERING PLACE:

Deity of Christ: We believe that Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man, the eternal Son of God, begotten not made and of one essence with the Father.  He was with God in the beginning and through Him all things were made.  In the fullness of time, He took on human flesh, being born of the virgin Mary and lived a sinless life among us.  Christ is not merely a great teacher or prophet but God incarnae--Emmanuel, 'God with us.'  His words carry divine authority, His works reveal divine power, and His death and resurrection acccomplish divine recemption for all humanity.  Christ Himself was appointed as the Paschal Lamb to atone for the sins of this world.   The bottom line:  To see Christ is to see the Father.  To worship Him is not idolatry, but obedience.  As the Apostle Paul wrote, 'In Him the fullness of the deity dwells bodily' (Colossians 2:9).  Christ is Lord, Savior, and King--worthy of all honor, glory and praise, now and forever.

Demomination:  I believe if you asked Christ what His denomination He was He would gently smile at you and that would be your answer.  I dont think that the plurality of approaches is necessarily a bad thing until it becomes division. The Body of Christ is truly diverse in its functions but it is one.  This location is welcoming to all variants and denominations but only welcomes membership to those individuals who hold to the apostles creed.

The Church:  I think 'the church' at large is a collection of the churches in each region and not encapsulated to one building as many hold.  As Paul talked about the church in Ephesis or Collosae or any other region that is what he meant.  'How is the church in the quiet corner?' might be how Paul would phrase it.  We are a member of the Body of Christ and therefore a member of each other church in this region.  I hope we support them and they support us.

The Bible: Is the inspired Word of God coming down through the ages to edify and encourage us.  I believe that the Bible is infallible and that inerrancy falls under the umbrella of infallibility.

Mission:  The Holy Spirit works through imperfect people like you and me to do His works and  get His perfect message communicated.  We are the Lords servants and we are but vessels in jars of clay communicating and encouraging one another through the leadings of God.  The Mission of the church at large is to equip the believers in their individual callings and ministries to go into the world where the rubber hits the road and spread the good news and do His works.  Lets equip you for your calling.

Giving:  I feel that a great many churches effectually focus on paying for overhead rather than pushing funds to actual ministry purposes.  Your gifts should go to ministry and not to pay for overhead but directly to funding soup kitchens and outreaches for the needy directly.  Please let me know what you think on this.

Pastor/Chaplain Tod L Smith:  Is ACPE Certified Hospital Chaplain as well as seminary trained pastor from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary and Liberty University.  He also hold an MA in Bioethics.  Tod believes in the authority and authenticity of scripture and the deity of Christ and firmly affirms the apostles creed.  Tod does a weekly sermon and would glad to touch base with you about this and other programs that are offered.
