COMMUNITY SERVICE

Reaching out into our communities is vital to our organization, developing relationships with community leaders, media, school faculty and local civic groups can greatly assist each post in achieving the VFW mission.
 
Current Commander's Initiative:
Maintain the Memorials and Markers of Veterans who are laid to rest here in Putnam CT!
•  We purchase materials to clean Markers and Memorials and conduct training on how to properly do this, as well as Provide Insurance for liabilities in the process of doing this.
•  Attempt to GPS locate every marker in the Town of Putnam for record.
