Memorial Day Weekend Activities/Schedule:

Sunday -
9:30 AM Color Guard (Joint with American Legion, Post 13, Putnam, CT) prepped and ready to depart VFW Post 1523.
10 AM - Begin Memorial Rites at every Monument and Cemetery per tradition, beginning at St. Mary's Cemetery.

Afterwards, Commander Lowell and any Volunteers will make their way to: Bowen & Day Cemetery, Carpenter Cemetery, Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Munyan Cemetery and Putnam Heights Cemetery to honor the thousand + Veterans in Putnam buried and not along the Ceremony Route.

Monday -
ANY Veteran who wants to have their vehicle at the FINISH LINE of the Parade (Behind Dunkin Doughnuts on Kennedy Drive), must park their car in the parking lots behind and the TOWN will shuttle via van anyone to the Parade start location (grove Street and off-shoots)
9 AM VFW Color Guard and Marching/Walking Parties meet up at VFW Post 1523
9:15 Movement to Civil War Monument for Marcher's/Walkers and to Center Street for ANY Veteran and Family that would like to ride the Veteran's Float provided for the Parade.
10 AM - Parade starts at Grove Street Civil War Monument.
Approx. 11 AM (After Parade's Completion) - Memorial Day Ceremonies at Rotary Park Bandstand (Location WILL MOVE to the Farmer's Market Pavilion if rain forces it)
