US Army - 250th EN MRBC - 21C30 - E6 (SSG) - 2002-2014
1st Bridge, 2nd Bridge, Recon Section, S6 NCOIC, COIST NCOIC, EWO, US Customs NCOIC, COMSEC NCOIC, Sling Load Inspector.

Was a Licensed Operator of over 30 individual Military Engineer Equipment vehicles and equipment, to include being the Train-the-Trainer for many of them.

The point:  I didn't just ride my enlistment.  I actively pursued greater diversity and responsibility in my MOS.  I participated in planning and executing numerous multi-national and multi-organizational training and live exercises and missions.

I didn't finish my 20 years only due to the impact that my deployment to Iraq had on me, and the realization that I had given more than what's expected from my enlistment to the US Military, and they were finished making investments in my career.  No dedicated Soldier should ever hear "You are MOS Qualified and there are other Service Members who need to be reclassed and need that position more than you."

This left me with the ability to expand my Personal Career; achieve new goals.  Now, I have landed all of these tools and training that the Military gave me to better serve the Veterans of the Putnam Community, something that, if I had not parted with my Service, I probably wouldn't have brought back to Putnam for another 10 years (Because I'd have probably stayed in until kicked out).

Let's make sure that the tools I needed are available for any future Veteran in Putnam.  No Veteran in Putnam CT should have to struggle like I did, alone, to get the benefits they deserve.  Never again.
